How to use the service

Everything about using the service in one place - from creating an account to office billing. Did not find your answer? Write to us, the address is in the footer.

Your account and first steps

From creating an account to your first published listing.

Do I need an account to browse listings?

No. The search, the map and every listing are open without logging in. You only need an account to post an offer, save a search or keep your conversations in one place.

Can I message an advertiser without an account?

Yes. The contact form on a listing works for visitors - you give a name and an email address, and the reply lands in your inbox. An account only adds convenience: conversation history and an unread counter.

How do I create an account?

Through the registration form. You need an email address and a password; there are no usernames - you sign in with your email.

What is the difference between a private and a company account?

A private account is for people selling or letting their own property: it publishes up to 5 listings free of charge, with no time limit and no card. A company account gets 3 free slots to try things out and then uses packages or a subscription; it can also set up an office with staff and buy the verification badge.

Can I change the account type after registering?

Yes, in your profile settings. Switching to a company account reveals the VAT number, company name and website fields plus the office tab; your listings stay where they are.

Why confirm my email address?

Enquiries and the password reset link both go to that address - a typo means neither arrives. We send the confirmation code at registration, and you can request it again in the security panel.

I forgot my password. What now?

On the sign-in page choose password reset. We will send a link that sets a new password; it is single-use and expires. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then check that you are using the address the account was created with.

Posting and editing listings

How to post an offer, what the buyer sees and what you can change later.

How do I post a listing?

The Add listing button. The form walks you through the offer type, address, price, floor area, description and photos. You can save a listing as a draft and come back to it later - drafts do not count towards your limit and nobody else sees them.

What property types do you support?

Apartments, houses, land, commercial units, offices, warehouses, garages and rooms - each either for sale or to rent. Rentals add fields for the service charge and the deposit.

Which currencies can I set a price in?

Zloty, euro, US dollars and pounds. The currency is stored with the offer, so the amount is never converted or rounded behind your back.

How many photos can I add?

Up to 20 per listing. The first photo is the cover - you can reorder them while editing and set any photo as the main one with a single click. Photos are resized automatically, so a file straight from the camera is fine.

Where does the map pin come from?

From the address you type into the form - we turn it into coordinates when saving (OpenStreetMap geocoding). If the pin lands in the wrong place, drag it on the map while editing the listing.

Do I have to show the exact address?

No. Tick the hide-address option and only the city and district stay public, while the map shows the approximate area instead of the building number. The full address is visible to you and - once you are in touch - to whoever you give it to.

Can a listing be in English?

Yes. The form has room for an English title and description. Fill them in and people browsing in English see your version; leave them empty and they see the original. We do not machine-translate listings.

How do I edit, copy or delete a listing?

All of it in My listings. Copying creates a draft with the same data - handy for several similar flats in one building. Deleting cannot be undone; if the offer is meant to come back later, switch it to inactive instead.

What do the listing statuses mean?

A draft is a working version only you can see. Active is public and appears in search. Inactive disappears from the list but stays in your panel and can be switched back on. Archived means the offer is closed - sold or let.

Do listings expire?

By default no - an active offer stays up until you switch it off. If we ever introduce an expiry date, you will get a reminder email beforehand, and renewing is one click in your panel.

Are listings checked?

Yes. Offers are moderated, and those breaking the terms - fake, duplicated, using someone else's photos or with a bait price - are taken down. You can report a suspicious listing with the button on its page.

Searching and saving offers

Filters, the map, email alerts and tools for comparing offers.

How do I narrow the results?

The offer list has more than twenty filters: city, district, price, floor area, number of rooms, floor, year built, condition, furnishing, balcony, lift, parking, garden and more. Results refresh on their own without reloading the page, and the address bar remembers the filters you chose - so you can bookmark it or send it to someone.

How do I search on the map?

The Map tab shows offers as pins that merge into groups with a count as you zoom out. You can also pick a point and give a radius in kilometres - the list then shows everything inside that circle.

What are saved searches and alerts?

Set your filters, save them under your own name and switch the alert on - once a day we check whether new matching offers appeared and email you only if something actually did. You manage all of it in my searches; the alert can be switched off at any time.

What are favourites and the comparison tool for?

The heart puts an offer into your favourites. The comparison tool puts several offers side by side in a table - price, floor area, price per square metre, rooms, floor - so the differences are visible at a glance. The service also remembers recently viewed offers.

Why are some offers higher up?

Featured offers and recently bumped ones sit above the rest and are marked as such. Beyond those, the order follows the sorting you choose - newest first by default. You can sort by price, floor area and price per square metre.

Contact and messages

How the inbox works, phone numbers and spam protection.

Where do messages go?

To your inbox in the service - conversations are threads pinned to a specific listing, so a month later it is still clear what they were about. We also notify you by email; notifications can be switched off in preferences.

Why do I have to click to see the phone number?

Because a number written out on the page gets harvested by bots - hence the calls from "investors" half an hour after posting an offer. The number is not in the page source; it appears only after the reader clicks.

How do you protect against spam?

Forms carry a trap for bots that a human never sees, and the number of sign-in attempts and messages sent from one address is rate-limited. Persistent accounts get blocked.

Can office staff see each other's conversations with clients?

No. A client enquiry is visible only to the agent who received it - including inside a single office and including the owner. What an office shares is the listing limit, the subscription and the badge, not the correspondence. For talking to each other the team has a separate team chat.

Pricing, payments and invoices

What is free, what costs money and how to stop paying.

How much does posting a listing cost?

A private seller publishes up to 5 listings free of charge, with no time limit and without giving a card. A company gets 3 free slots, and beyond that picks a package or a subscription from the price list.

What is the difference between a package and a subscription?

A package is bought once and gives a set number of listing slots, with no renewal. A subscription is monthly or yearly, renews itself and raises your limit permanently; the Business tier removes the limit entirely. A year costs the same as ten months.

How do the 45 free days work?

A company account buying a subscription for the first time pays nothing for 45 days. You enter a card at the point of purchase and it is charged automatically once the period ends - cancel earlier and you pay nothing. The trial is granted once per account.

Who handles payments? Do you have my card?

Payments are run by Stripe. Card details go straight to them and never pass through our server - what stays with us is the record of what was paid for and when.

How do I cancel a subscription?

In payments open the subscription panel - it is the Stripe portal, where you cancel the renewal, replace the card and download your billing history. After cancelling, the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes, automatically after every payment. Invoices wait for you in payments. For your company details to appear on them, fill in the company name and VAT number in your profile before buying.

What happens to my listings when the limit drops?

Nothing disappears. When a package or subscription expires, the offers above the limit go inactive and wait - they return to the list as soon as the limit goes back up.

How do I promote an offer?

A bump moves the listing to the top of the list; featuring frames it and keeps it above the results for 7 or 30 days. Both are bought on the listing itself; prices are in the price list.

Estate agency offices

A shared account for the team: roles, invitations and billing.

How do I set up an office?

On a company account open the office tab and fill in the name, VAT number and contact details. The office gets a public profile with every listing from the team in one place.

How do I add a member of staff?

Send an invitation to their email address. The link works even for someone who does not have an account yet - they create one and land in the office straight away. You can revoke an invitation as long as it has not been accepted.

What roles are there in an office?

The owner runs the office, the payments and the team. The manager runs the team and the invitations. The agent runs their own listings and conversations. Roles can be changed at any time, and staff can leave the office themselves - their offers go with them.

Does every agent need their own subscription?

No. The office is the billing unit: one subscription and one limit cover the whole team, and the listings of all its members count against it. The free allowance is also counted once for the entire office.

Does the verification badge cover the whole team?

Yes. A verified office marks all of its agents - there is no need to buy verification separately for each account.

How do we talk to the team inside the service?

An office has its own team chat. It consists of channels the whole team can see and private one-to-one conversations. The „Whole team” channel is created together with the office, and the owner or an administrator can add more - „Rentals” or „New developments”, for example.

Who sees messages in the team chat?

A channel - every member of the office, and only them. A private conversation - only its two sides; neither the rest of the team nor the office owner looks in. Someone removed from the office loses access to the channels immediately.

Will I get an email about a message from a colleague?

Only if you have not looked at the conversation for fifteen minutes - anyone with the chat open sees the message without an email. A run of sentences is one notification, not five. Notifications can be switched off in preferences.

Can a channel be deleted?

The office owner and administrator can delete any channel they added, together with its history. The „Whole team” channel cannot be deleted, so the team is never left without a shared place to talk, and private conversations are deleted by nobody except the people in them.

Trust: verification, deals and reviews

How you know who you are talking to.

What does company verification give me?

A badge on your listings and profile. Before we grant it, a person checks the company data in the CEIDG and KRS registers - which is why it is a separate service (79.99 zł per year) and not part of any subscription. You apply in your panel.

How do reviews work?

A review is left for a specific advertiser, not for an offer. A review following a confirmed deal is marked "confirmed" - that is the one that means something. The advertiser can reply publicly but cannot delete someone else's rating.

What is reporting a deal?

After a completed sale or letting, one side reports the deal and the other confirms it in the deals panel. That way a review rests on something both sides confirmed rather than on one party's word.

How do I spot a suspicious listing?

The signals are always the same: a price far below the market, time pressure, a request for a deposit before a viewing, contact only through a messenger outside the service. Never pay a deposit for a property you have not seen, and report the listing to us.

Security and personal data

What protects your account and what you can do with your data.

Is the connection to the service encrypted?

Yes, all of it. The service runs over HTTPS only (TLS 1.2 and 1.3), and the browser receives an HSTS header, so even typing the address without "https" sends nothing in the clear.

How do you store passwords?

As salted PBKDF2 hashes - the password cannot be recovered from them and nobody on our side knows it. That is why a forgotten password is replaced rather than retrieved.

Can I turn on two-factor sign-in?

Yes, in the security panel. You can choose codes from an app (Google Authenticator, Aegis, 1Password) or a code sent by email. With the app you also get recovery codes in case you lose your phone - keep them somewhere other than that phone.

Who sees my email address and phone number?

Your email address is never public. We show a phone number only if you put one in the listing yourself, and only after the reader clicks. The details are in the privacy policy.

Can I download my data?

Yes, yourself and straight away: Download my data in the panel builds a file with your account, listings, messages and payment history. No need to ask by email or wait for a reply.

How do I delete my account?

In the panel, with delete account. We erase the account data and the listings; only the accounting documents required by law remain - invoices must be kept for five years. The operation cannot be undone, so download your data first.

What happens to backups?

The database and photos are copied every night, and the copies are encrypted (AES-256) and kept for 14 days. Every run checks that the copy can actually be read - a backup nobody has ever opened is only a promise of a backup.

Technical matters

Languages, devices and what to do when something breaks.

What languages does the service work in?

Polish and English - you switch language in the footer and the choice is remembered. The English version has its own addresses (prefixed with /en/), so you can send it to someone as a link.

Does the service work on a phone?

Yes, the layout is fully responsive - the list, the map, the posting form and the inbox are all built for a phone screen. There is no app to install.

Do I need JavaScript switched on?

Not for the basics. Searching, browsing offers and the forms all work without JavaScript - it is needed for the map and for refreshing results without reloading the page.

My photos will not upload. Why?

Usually an unsupported format or a very large file. Use JPG, PNG or WebP and add photos in batches if your connection is slow. The limit is 20 photos per listing.

Something is broken, or I have an idea. Where do I write?

To the contact address in the footer. Write what you did, what you expected and what happened instead - with those three things we usually fix a bug the same day.

Still have a question?

Write to prywatnosc@madd.im. The rules of use are set out in the terms of service, and data processing in the privacy policy.
